I know, been close to buying a pair twice. First pair was a 205 SL back in the day. The other was a 777 at the shop at Red Mt a couple years back. I've always liked the brand.

I don't really get excited by 'mainstream' much. In spite of trying really hard.

Have I missed any?

I owned a pair of wooden skis, creamish yellow with screw-in edges that I mounted with three pins back in the 1980's...damned if I can remember what they were.

Also had some kneissels...or maybe they were my roomates. Or maybe I took them from him when he didn't pay the rent then sold them. And some tuas. I think.

I do remember a lot of nights at the Sitzmark or Chair 5 'til 2 am, hooking up with some chick or another 'til 5 then skiing at 8:30 at some pair of skis or another.

Honestly, I can't fathom how you guys can remember all the skis you've owned.

I've never understood why people try to telemark on gear that they would never attempt to "ski" on. Telemark is slightly more difficult than alpine, why use skis that would present a serious challenge even with fixed heels?
