I don't think that looks dated at all. Sure it might bring some attention to you but if you charge hard then you'll appear to be an even better skier.

That link ^^^ isn't going where you think it is, JayPowHound.

Okay, the sunburst one-piece.... That is *definitely* dated.

It is not as bad as the Rennhose Is used to wear untill 2002. My friends demanded that I got rid of it.

I listened to them and dumped it..... because it was deteriorating (peaces fell off).

My stepfather has an old Ellesse one piece that is HOT PINK! He's 82, and still rips so I think he gets away with it. He only wears it these days for a laugh, it's a bit tight. It's hilarious, if he gets sideways glances in the lift line, he starts talking in this really campy Austrian accent. Just to draw even more atttention to himself.

Hey thats nothing

Last week I saw a group of friends...

One had on those tan Carrhart Insulated work coveralls.

Another had on camo duck hunting pants and a florescent orange insulated hunting coat with matching hat.

The third had on Insulated florescent orange coveralls.

Three Utah Rednecks having too much fun. They were staying dry and warm. Isn't that all that matters...staying warm and having fun.

I say wear with pride. I really like the NASA Idea too. Way too funny.

Hey, still got those Hansen Boots? Are they Hansen? , tough to tell in the haze. I remember having to spray WD 40 on my socks to get in to mine!

Nah. They are Salamon SX boots wich I borrowed from my brother. I just wrecked my Nordica N975's that week.

Update:

I went up to the mountain this morning and I wore the suit! It was warm and dry and I think I will continue to wear it with pride...

Thanks everyone for the good advice!

Old skiwear and skis are always cool but old boots never are. Crappy boots aren't cool for some reason!

Lol, here is my crappy cel phone pic from this morning!

Now, it’s not the one piece I mind so much…but what the hell is that wrapped around your head?:

Are you trying to defend against biological and chemical weapons threats on the slope? What is the alert status there in Boisered

Thats how I would rock it.

Ha Now that's what I'm talkin' about Quite the menacing presence there. If you were skiing to a soundtrack I'd definitely pick Wagner's Ride of the Valkyries

Wow, the "Heck Nos! are really piling up since you posted the photos today LOL!

Ha ha... It was cold and all I had was a scarf for my face!

I guess scarves are not cool now either??

What’s cool is you posted your on-the-slope rock today…perhaps the single best ‘man-up’ thread I have seen on this forum to date. Excellent follow through…

if you're gonna wear something like that you have to wear it with confidence.

if you feel self-conscious about wearing it, then that lack of confidence will seep through and people will notice.

but if you "own it" while you wear it, then the confidence will come through and people will notice (for better reasons).

also, you either have to be a serious shredder or a total gaper. not sure if a mediocre skier can pull off that look.

I guess I must be a gaper () as I am definitely not in the serious shredder category just yet... If anyone wants to laugh at my gear, I will be the first to laugh with them but I had a great time today and will continue to sport my gaper look as it worked great!

As long as it's not this:

. . . it's all good. Although this IS my favorite ski suit of all time, forever. But I have a hard time picturing it with the bio-hazard headgear.

Aint it sad when you don't get to ski enough to wear out your duds! Not to mention the old 204 k2 TNC's (bases still good!) I've been trying to do enough masters racing :to justify a new gs suit but in the end I just took my old fluoro pink, yellow and blue baby, threw it in a tub of red dye and hand painted some funky designs on it! I've got another old race suit that I just tie dyed-- turned out great but I can no longer get it on with anything underneath it and that's just tooo cold for fun. Besides, anything is smarter than buying a new $300 pair of pants that drag on the ground and clip into the heel peices of your bindings thereby allowing you to show off your $3.50 boxers and leave your braces (suspenders) hanging down by your sides to get caught on your big, wide studded belt! Hey, sonny!Hand me my walking stick. I'm off to pick up my discounted seniors season pass!

Did you wear the tickets too?

my level 3 avalanche instructor from alyeska also wore a one-piece. Not only did I share a heli with him, I also dangled from his skis in a rappel down onto a 65 degree face above eternity where I dug a snow pit.

you should eat those tickets, actually. Or- at least frame them.

Sub-poll, just curious. My friends and I--all of us "every weekend" skiers--were kicking around a question: "how much cash would you want to wear Moonboots all weekend, every weekend of the season, plus Christmas, Easter and any other days you're up at the hill?" That means out to dinner at the resort, walking the dog, shopping, taking your kid sledding, whatever.

YEP. Old school fashions on the hill, beat the hippest stuff hanging in a closet.
BTW, if it was lime green I'd make you an offer.
