Eric, there is a pretty good chance my GF and I will be at Caberfae on Saturday if we don't wimp out on account of the cold. It will be cold and windy up on top of south peak for sure! Not sure how to describe my get up, last weekend trekchik said I was dressed dull? LOL I've got an epic sticker on my helmet though. Will probably be on fischer RX8's but that all depends........

At Caberfae?

I've skied Caberfae, for what seems like forever, and I don't think I've ever seen a demo set up there.

Good news tho..........I just got in from snowplowing and we had 4 inches of the fluffiest snow you can imagine, with more in the forecast!!!

This is good to know.
I just called Missy at Caberfae, to line up my school group for Tuesday. So, I asked her about the demos. She said they don't have any demos lined up this weekend.
She usually knows a week or two ahead of time.

I'm afraid i'm going to wimp out. I've skied out of state in worse conditions but not sure i've got the cajones to do it here. Of course if I get the itch tomorrow afternoon its possible.

Skied Crystal today and it was cold, let me rephrase..........Damn Cold!
but the snow was the best I've experienced in Michigan in a looooong time.

I'll be at Caberfae on Sunday if anyones going to be there.

Great Snow at caberfae. It was some very very slow snow. My arms are very very sore (from pushing with my poles). Skied Saturday and Sunday. Very good snow both days. Caberfae even had I-75 open, in which I failed miserably trying to ski down it. I had a ski pop off on my second turn. When that happened i went head over heals cartwheeling down the hill. One of my skis went 20ft into the neighboring trees. It surprising didn't hurt. I had snow packed in my mouth, hair, nose, up under my powder skirt, down my pants. The crash even popped loose 3 boot buckles. My gf was almost got in a fight with some girls making fun of me. At least she was sticking up for me. Other than that it was a good weekend of skiing.

I74 was open!!!!! OMG, I've skied there for 25 years and have only seen it open once!
Family stuff prohibited me from making it out there but I was thinking about it all day. Dang!
Will be there Tuesday with the school kids from Noon til 5. Anyone else getting away for the afternoon?
