I think I just walked that much at the PGA's National Merchandise Show in Orlando in three days. The indoor display at the Orange County Convention Center has 10 miles of aisles and almost 1 million square feet. The outdoor demo day at Orange County National (Wednesday) Was a 360 circular range I think I went around three times. Bleeping sore back kept me from hitting anything.
Did a lot of reviewing the fall lines of men's clothing with the boss-some really nice stuff. There is an interesting trend to a hybrid cotton and polyester fabric getting away from some of the newer high tech polys that do a great ventilation job and have very easy care but lack the feel of cotton.
The new demo systems which have heads you can switch between various shafts are really neat. They will be a great help in club fitting.
There are an amazing number of teaching devices most of which are questionable.
Did not spend a lot of time on clubs-Titleist (I'm a T*tty snob) and Taylor Made (our best seller along with Ping) weren't there. I'll check them out with the reps in spring closer to when we open.
