I love that plate Design!

Very nice:

That would give me a bit of a quandary, since I have this on my Subie right now:

I like the current plates more.

The proposed ones shown above just look cheesy.

Mega cheesy.

Lame response to Utah's 'greatest snow on earth'

It's a prototype and the final plate may look vey different. See link and FAQ's for more info.

We should have one for all the Colorado microbrews - Greatest Beer on Earth

I believe this is the only plate that Colorado ever had a Ski on. 50 years ago.
Sure would have been smart to bring it back to life after 50 years, but we all know how the Government works!

To be truly accurate, shouldn't it have a picture of a condo and someone in a fur coat and Uggs?

I need to get an interesting CO plate. I qualify for a Pioneer plate, but 1. it's ugly and 2. there sure are a lot of hoops to jump through to get one!

Although I must say, I would love to have something a bit more restrained and retro and similar to this for a design. This is rad!

I like the 10th Mtn Div plates, too.

That's the Aspen and Telluride out-of state, second home version.

I agree. The snowboarder looks like a large rodent and the skier well, not bad but it's just sort of dumb. Paul Rand (Ibm, Westinghouse, Next computer logos ) would basically consider this just poor design.
I consider the current Colorado license plate to be one of the last decent plates around, in fact it's really nice. It's one of the last to maintain a very simple yet effective and descriptive graphic.
Almost every state now seems to want to change to some ridiculous, over-complicated slogany thing. Let's throw in a sunset or a beach scene or some kind of photo. Now you can't even tell what state the plate is from a distance whereas that used to be quite easy if you new the colorscheme.

I hope New Mexico doesn't change that nice yellow one.

I like the good old green mountains Colorado plates! You need to remind people that Utah has great skiing, but not Colorado. Why copy their plates?

Me too!

I've never been too much into the alternate license plates, myself ... hubby has a 10th mtn division plate, which is fine.

But I miss the classic green CO plates.

My favorite plates ever are the yellow and black California plates. I have no idea why, though.

I still like the classic green ones, too.

(The people on the proposed plate both look ... odd.)

Colorado only has about 32 license plate options to choose from right now. What's one more?

Doesn't everybody have this?

Actually, I have this on my vehicle. It speaks to the whole history of skiing in Colorado from the 10th Mountain Division. It does have a ski trooper on it.

To those people who like the regular green and white plates- just keep yours... they're not replacing them with this new design, its just another option.

You know, to add to the 30 others.

Ski Country USA? Stupid logo and not a fan of the design. I've talked skiing with some of the higher ups at that organization and they don't know jack about skiing, so why put their name/logo on the plate.

I do like the 10th Mtn Div plates though.

No, we're talking about the mostly green version that was used for many years, until 8 or 9 years ago. (Well, I was, at least.) They flip-flopped the green and white, now they are mostly white.

How odd but I think I agree. There's some sort of sinister yet happy serious but psychedelic thing going on there.
