The Top Fuel is a burly ski that doesn't need to be skied long. My friend PSIA Lv3 6' 230 lb skis that ski in a 170. I skied that ski and the Jet fuel in a 170. I'm 5'10 165 and an expert skier who skis close to 100 days a year. Neither of us has found that ski to be squirrely at any speed. I dissagree with Mudfoot about an expert putting all of the weight on one ski. In fact an expert with decent modern technique will weight both feet. This is why shorter skis have plenty of power. The "next level" is carving on both skis. Get the Top Fuels. You will love them. My friend used to ski the TF in the 178 and dropped down after watching video that showed him scrubbing speed going into tight spaces. Did he ski the 178 very well? Yes! But on the 170 both he and I can use carving and turn shape to control speed with less shmear. Its fun to make the deep double trench. I would ski a 170 TF anyday on any Terrain at JH. Would it be the best ski everyday? No of course not, but it will work very well in any condition. If you liked it... Buy it.
