Nodometer. The commute is a little over 10 miles roundtrip. On a good day maybe another 15 miles? I'm doing short hauls.

I sometimes take a busman's holiday. Last year, five rides over 100 miles, the longest over 300 kilometers.

Thanks but I failed today. If I had the right straps and a rear rack I could have saved some time.

My fourth strap came up short and I needed five. I could have cobbled together some combination of my bungees but a nice fellow was asking me if I needed more straps. He worked for one of the buildings in that alley, his truck was there until five. I needed to return anyway because I couldn't fit my Rubbermaid bin on my bike. So I ended up borrowed two long bungees from him. I put the other one on after snapping this picture. I left my Rubbermaid bin in his truck.I had removed my rear rack to adjust the disc brake and I'd neglected to reinstall. With a rear rack I could have carried my Rubbermaid bin. This was the second trip.   The first load was smaller but heavier. Total weight 750lbs (two trips! this is only half of it.)

Long story short, I made three trips instead of two because I didn't have enough straps and I didn't have my rack. Yeah, I forgot to put air in my trailer tires. Schwalbe Marathon saved my dumb ass. Indestructible tires.
