I have been trying to get video on this site forever...my wife just figured out how to upload from our Video Camera....

Last year I posted a photo of my son at 18 mos putting on boots for his first runs....(I taped over it christmas morning...) Beside a dirt run on his 2nd birthday (60 foot silt hill, very powdery) and a few runs in the back yard before Christmas, this year.....here is his first true run at a mountain....and lift ride.

Daddy is very proud.
Mommy wanted to cry...her boy is all grown up. Now she will loose us every weekend.

Very nice. By watching this I just decided that my niece will definately be on skis before she turns 3
Though I have heard it was too early, your kid seems to be having fun

I believe the idea is lots of "carpet" work. Put em on, take em off, walk around, take "jumps"..... When you go, go on warm days. This day was 50ish.

Walking in big circles on skis is both fun and helps them learn the boots and awkward skis---balance. I let him chase me.

That video is absolutely classic. Very uplifting to watch. Way to go!

That was fantastic! Thanks for sharing. My daughter is about the same age but so far we have just had her "skiing" next to daddy with an H-bar that she hangs on to. You have given me the inspiration to try her w/o it on a gentle hill and just see how she does.

Taught about 25 Never Ever 5-6 yr olds this weekend....many were making awsome turns after only 2 hrs. These kids got extra effort from me this weekend...My son is in Fla...and each kid "was my boy".....

That's awesome! AWESOME! Our older son was up on skis for the first time at 25 months, then messed around some last winter when he was 3yo, and is really embracing ski school this year, at 4yo.

Props to you. I think it makes a huge difference in their comfort and coordination to start early!

True dat. My son first started at 2, and since then has averaged about 40 days per year. He's now 10.

Atta boy to Lange and Dad! GREAT VIDEO! I am passing this on to my friends who have 2 yr olds. They were waiting til they turned three or four to take them out.

Great video! I know how proud you are. Our Sam turns 3 in a few weeks and we got him out there a month ago. We waited an extra year for his big brother, but Sam seems much more confident and comfortable than he did.
