I just started a Ski racing club at the University of Illinois, and I am wondering are there any events round the midwest to possibly compete in, and also what and where is best place to train for ski racing. I have been looking at some of the racing gates from the manufacturers and am wondering do any of the areas in wisconsin, Illinois (chesnut) or Iowa allow clubs to set up their own gates on a run? Any advice would be much appreciated.
Nice to see another Big 10 school join the fray.

You might be a little late, but go to: http://www.uscsa.com/midwest.htm
to get started on getting your teams into races. HUSTLE
, because registrations are due November 19
As far as I know, training is up to each individual team to set up at their own expense, or if you get permission from the hill (usually gotta have a hook-up) to set up their gates for training. I would dig around the USCSA web site to find out.
