Bad ski accident

Thread Starter
David Kamke has been seriously injured in Colorado. I received this message and would like to pass it on.

A little more information on David than is given in the message. David's only career has been teaching skiing and golf. He is 36 years old and has no wife or children. None the less he dedicated his life to helping his fellow ski instructors.

I will be contributing to hopefully get Dave back on his feet.

As many of you may have already heard, David Kamke has been in a horrific
ski accident.

David Kamke is a member of the PSIA-C Education Staff and is currently
serving as the PSIA-C Alpine Administrator. Many of you may know Dave
from events that he has worked throughout the Central Division for the
past 11 years. He has been very visible and one of the hardest working
members of the PSIA-C Education Staff.

In addition to his responsibilities within the Central Division, Dave has
also been teaching at Breckenridge in Colorado. On Sunday Dave had a
horrific accident on snow which left him with a broken femur and severed
femoral artery. He was medevaced to St. Anthony's in Denver and in the
past few days has undergone four surgeries in attempts to repair the
damage. Dave is currently in a medically induced coma in the Intensive
Care Unit.

This is one of those moments in life when you really can make a
difference! Many of Dave's friends and peers have been asking what can be
done to help. Dave's medical bills are growing rapidly each hour and
there is no doubt that Dave will be out of work for a long period of time.
Please consider helping. It will be appreciated and put to good use.

The Kamke Snowsports Instructors Trust has been established, and
registered with the IRS. Trust funds will be there to help with costs
related to Dave's very serious injury.

Contributions can be made online via PayPal. Just click on the Donate
Button located on the homepage of the Central Division website,

Contributions also can be made by check or money order, made out to and
mailed to the Kamke Snowsports Instructors Charitable Trust, 1055 E.
Wayzata Blvd. #300, Wayzata, MN 55391. An acknowledgement and receipt
will be sent. Feel free to call with any questions about this trust at

Dave needs all of our prayers and thoughts for the battle he now faces.
Send positive energy his way to support him in his difficult fight.

We will keep you posted as to Dave's condition. Please keep him in your
thoughts and prayers.

Thank you, Pierre. He is also in my thoughts and prayers... and contributing to the financial impact is a solid way to reach out to one of our own... someone who loves the alpine environment and sharing it with others...

Pierre, Thank you for your attention to this.
Thoughts and prayers go out to him and his family. Contributions are the least we can do.
