Epic Day 12-29-02!!!

Hey all,
ventured up to Sugar Bowl on Sunday morning after the storm cleared. I almost spun out on the way up to Sugar Bowl despite having a all wheel drive car with snow tires. Thank god i was used to almost spinning out in my other car (supra) or else i woulda lost it. Add to that, some guy was literally tail gating me in the snow. After that, the trip was fine.

As for sugar bowl, they had a 36 inch dump the night before so the conditions were awsome. Fresh snow everywhere. Even around 11-noon, there were nice stashes of powder to be found, though I was avoiding them by that time since my lower body was killing me at that point. The weather was cloudy with wind and snow with occaisional patches of blue sky, but it wasn't too bad. I was impressed with the lack of ppl on the mountain. Squaw and Heavenly I heard had HUGE crowds, but I dind't have to wait at the lifts at all. Very good

I got to try out this year's vertigo motions, and my friend got to try out the T50 5stars. So, it was a very good day I don't think I've seen conditions that good before.

sounds great, our measly 10" will just have to do until we meet in Utah. Then I hope to see some serious dump!
