today storm dumped according to snowbird 21 inches of new snow it wasnt light but it was for sure again bottomless.

So here is how my day went woke up at 7am planning to leave the house at 8am to get to snowbird to go to work. Got to the mouth and there is a natural slide accross the road and it is shut. Me and a couple of friend go back to my place to eat some breakfast this being the first road closure we did not beat. At roughly 10:30am the road hotline says the road is opens we rush out and start getting into the traffic tram. at about 11:15 we are the tram dock and ready to go and noone else is here. In fact walk on trams all day long. Walk on trams and nearly 2 feet of new snow is very rare thing to happen here.

needless to say today was awesome and as allways some pictures taken from today.

The crew today..nuking on the tram dock

360 attemp over the entire election rock face

Snow was so deep seeing and breathing was hard to do at sometimes

Lawn dart from the same spot as the above 360

I was planning on going up this morning but the road opening got pushed back so I ended up postponing till tomorrow (Thursday). Alta's website says that the road will be closed at Gate A at 6:30 am with interlodge starting at 7. Does this mean that if I want to get up there before the road is closed all I have to do is get past Gate A before 6:30? Also, do you know if the road will have been plowed by then on that sort of a morning?

Thanks,
Hasta

yep get past gate a at 6:30am. I will be at the Park and ride at 6am to beat it. The hope is the road slides and snowbird opens. would be the sickest.

Thbe crazy things we do to ride powder. I went to sleep last night at 8pm now at 2am I am wired and ready to go. want to try to sleep till at least 5am.

Way to go Bush, I like your enthusiasm.

So where's the park and ride you head to -- I assume it's near the mouth of the canyon?

Looks like a Bluebird day from here. With everything closed yesterday, this should be sick! Have fun kids!

sickbird TR.

The 360 and lawn darts definitely got me attention. how did the landings go? I'm guessing by "360 attempt" it wasn't stuck cleanly.....but big props for trying!!

Up to your necks again I see.

Bet you can't wait for the next day you can just take it easy on a mild groomer. :

So Josh what's the count on ski days so far this year?

Can't wait to get there Saturday. Looks like clear sailing the rest of the week. Won't have to worry about closures but I bet most everything will be tracked up pretty good. But who cares, I'm from the east...land of mud right now.
