Don't sweat it... fair enough question. As Max said, you got good advice from Doctor D. If you do a forum search on "detuning" or "detune," you should find some of those previous threads where this was discussed at length (no pun intended). My recollection is that opinions/practices were by no means unanimous, but that majority do not detune modern shaped skis... or at least try it first without, and only detune if edges are too "grabby."
