Binings size adjustments?

Hears a trick question? Can a binding be mounted to accept a 24.5 and a 31 boot size other than demo bindings? I want to try my wifes skis out but there not mounted apart enough to fit me to She only has a set of tc 90 tenchno pro bindings on there? Is the size differance to great to re drill for both?

Usually you get about 11mm of adjustment either way, if the binding was mounted perfectly centered...A size 24.5 boot is usually about 311mm, or so, depending on manufacture...A size 31 boot is in the range of 340mm, or so.

That's a difference of nearly 30mm...Won't work with her bindings.

You could re-drill the skis for both sizes, but switching them back and forth would take it's tole on the skis, not to mention the damage water/snow would do to the skis from the holes...

My 24.5 is a 285 mm sole length, so I believe the difference is even larger than 30 mm. If you want flexibility then I awould go with a demo binding.

Tyrolia Railflex and Atomic NEOX can be easily adjusted to any boot size. My son and I do it. Your can even do it at a repair bench outside the lodge. Be sure to check the toe pressure etc. each time you make a change. I forgot to one time. Only took my shoulder about 6 weeks to mend!

Even if you could click into her bindings, you would be on the wrong part of the ski. Without a movable toe piece, you are S.O.L.

Whipper. Leave your wife's skis along and let her know you need a second pair.

Always nice when a man knows, the right thing to do.

No, about Harts. I haven't been on a Hart since about 1990, and they were neon yellow, red and green on black. These, look better.:

The Tyyolia Railflex bindings adust almost like a demo binding with both Toe and Heel piece moving. These would work. I believe the Atomic bindings may be the same...

Yep sorta the same. Heel and toe moves forward and back just got them today. They look rather utilitarian but have the safety features I need for my one knee and liked the price for 14 din bindings with lots of good features on sale at als ski barn. I realy would have gone with the Marker jetster if price wasnt a factor though or even the big dog the DUKE!! They want 400 still for the Duke wich is a good price but I was paying for my gear and this was my 5th set up purchase in 3 months!! Kids! There set now for a couple more years so maybe next year for me
