cloudveil codes, anyone?

Thread Starter
looking for active promo codes for cloudveil.com. any help is appreciated.
Not sure about promo codes but at a TJ Maxx in NJ I saw some cloudveil soft shells and gloves on clearance. Too bad they weren't my size (plus I'm not a big fan of the soft shells). Worth stopping in if you live near one.

me too...any code help would be greatly appreciated!

I don't believe that there are "promo codes" for Cloudveil. You have to apply for "pro status" and be accepted.

There was a 45% off back in December. Some jerkoff put in on sale on eBay - GONE!!
what a jerkoff!!

any clue if there will be others this month?

Doubt it. From what I understand, it was a "Friends and Family" thing. It gets leaked every year, they sell a TON of stuff, and then it goes away.

Unfortunately, I had an order put together (a couple times..., but a local store was having a sale, so I waited ONE DAY to send it in, JUST IN CASE they had something I wanted... My Clouveil order was up to about $600 even with the discount!! : There was nothing interesting at the sale, so I came home and pulled the trigger on the Cloudveil order - CODE NO LONGER VALID!!!!!!! Thanks eBay guy... :

Lesson learned - you snooze, you loose.

Cloudveil is obviously happy to leak the code for a few days. They probably sold more gear from that leak on TGR than they do all year. But it doesn't make sense for them to let it run more than a few days. If they officially said they stopped it because of the ebay sale, that was just a convenient excuse.

Literally, the second I saw that code come up, I made my jacket purchase and hoped I wasn't too late. The fact that you waited a day to pull the trigger means you have no one to blame but yourself. [But the ebay guy is still a jerk.]

Really? Thanks for pointing that out.

I think I pretty much said that already.
Lesson learned: You snooze, you lose. :

With that said, the code had been out there awhile, and was supposedly going to go through the end of December. I actually put an order together about 2 or 3 times, but knew I had a local sale coming up at the end of the week, and I wanted to see what they were going to do. I also had a bonus coming at work the following week, so before I blew my wad on a bunch of gear I didn't necessarily NEED, I wanted to know what was coming. I blew it, but it still suck that the bottom-feeding jagoff had to pull the eBay stunt. That's an opportunist of the LOWEST order in my book. Karma has a way of evening things out though.

Pali: He was selling it for $5. He sold 4 or 5. Whatta dick!

Whoever told you that was pretty clueless. Doesn't make sense to cut everything almost 50% off for the entire month before Christmas. On the other hand, letting the code out for a few days to the skiers that set the trends on TGR makes great business sense (similar to the Bluehouse Skis sale).

Don't bother. Read the TGR thread. He and I had an exchange about it that I posted over there. Mixed bag of responses. I'm over it. Still sucks though.
