Hi there,

I'm looking into getting a pair of "all-mountain" skis, and having read several reviews I am interested in the Head iM78 or Salomon Tornado. I will demo at least the Tornado, but don't know if I will be able to find the iM78 for demo before I need to get a pair. Any thoughts on the differences of these skis, especially on how easy/difficult they are to ski and turn radius.

My data:
length 6'3'', weight 170 lbs, advanced level skier, like to ski shortish or mid-radius turns, dynamic and technical skiing style, mostly going at moderate speeds. My on/off piste ratio ~70/30.

I guess the right length for me would be 177/178 cm? Would that still allow short or mid-radius turns? I now ski a Volkl Vertigo Motion (184cm) and find it too GS-like.
