Myself and a few friends are going to be in Europe for the New Year celebrations (one week from 28th Dec onwards) and are concerned about the lack of snow. Anyone here posting from Europe or been to France (namely Tignes) recently. Hoping someone can make me feel better. Thanks.

There's little snow below glacier level in Val d'Isere and Tignes right now, and very little is expected over the next week. But you'd have to be unlucky not to get a good dump before new year.
Whatever...I've skied Tignes in all seasons -winter, spring, summer and September (the snow low-point) and it's always been great. You're always guaranteed a few hundred vertical metres.
