A friend of mine and I took a little hike up Mount Pierce (just down the road from Bretton Woods) to try out the terrain. We had gone hiking there last February and were very impressed with the tree layout, so this year we waited for some decent ground cover and tried it out. A lot of good, completely untracked fresh was found seeing as it is not a very popular ski destination, but nonetheless, worth the trip. A little awkward at first, but we found some good stuff to the right of the trailhead to the summit if you were looking at the mountain. A lot of trial and error skiing at first, but if you get enough snow, its definitely a fun trip. Its not skiable from the summit, you have to descend a few hundred feet at least and find an off-trail entrance point.
