It is definitely getting warmer down under, so it must be cooler up north. We went skiing at the weekend and there were spring conditions over the whole mountain. We had two beautiful sunny days, only light clothing was required. When we left the ski are on Saturday and descended down to Wanaka which is below the snow line at a reasonably low altitude, we passed heaps of people enjoying summer activites. They were water skiing on the lake, rock climbing, golf, picnicing on the beach front, mountain bikers, kayakers. So if you can't decide if you want a ski holiday or some of the above, then come to NZ in spring, you can do both.
