[Thread drift]Where did they hide their tazers?
I have no knowledge of this happening anywhere I've been skiing. Mind you, I'm usually skiing too fast to be hit from behind.
I'm just glad nobody's done this to me or mine.
I hope I would have the presence of mind to make a balanced response. I know I would want to stop them from doing this.
It would be hard to tell if it was intentional or not. I overheard some boarders complaining that people kept "cutting him off". Duh, you are supposed to be able to avoid people ahead of you no matter what they do. I'm sure one or two skiers and boarders probably thought I "buzzed" them deliberately, but really they made very erratic moves which I had anticipated to leave a small margin of error, a margin I am comfortable with but they may not be. It was very crowded at Mt. Saint Marie last Friday.
While skiing with my daughter I would let her go first and then pass her making medium turns down the fall line and then abruptly turn uphill and stop to watch as she went by. On one of my trips ahead I was in the midst of the sharp uphill turn when I heard the boarders swear (something like oh SH%t!
. I immediately cut the other way. I guess had I not turned the other way it would have been an unintentional collision.
PS. I'm just a little guy, so I would not scare anybody off with my size.
