Today through Christmas in the Northeast

Hi,

Today I am heading to Windham, NY just because it is close (means more time on skis than in a car). Will drive further up north after today's skiing.

It looks like almost all resorts in Vermont have some kind of rain forecast for Sunday. Any recommendations on where I could have more luck in avoiding rain?

In case anybody wants to chime in I also have a second question: I also would like to get some boots. So, the town needs to have a good bootfitter. I have looked at the list, but I need to know how I could combine it with skiing.

Thanks for all the suggestions in advance and enjoy the snow this weekend!

First option, Stowe.

Not sure it's going to avoid the rain. But if it rains up there, I doubt you can avoid it anywhere.

The best thing about it is Inner Boot Works on the Mountain road.

Second option is Pico. It's cheap ($49?) so if you take a chance and it's too miserable, you have less money out the pocket. And if the weather hold., you're more likely to have the mountain to yourself since everyone else will be waiting at the liftlines of Killington.

Ask for Ray in Basin at the Killington Access road to get your boots sorted out.
