Does anyone know a good place to look?

untracked.com has probably the biggest stock of previous years' skis. backcountry.com also has a fairly good selection if you're looking for something short.

skibay (ebay).

You could look at my house if you're interested in a pair of last years snoops brand new in the wrapper.

What kind of skis are you looking for? After much perusing, I have a lot of leftover deals rattling around in the back of my head from a variety of sites, and can probably point you in the right direction if you're looking for a particular ski, ski type, or brand.

Tough to get good deals between now and President's Day, but levelnine, getyourboards, evo, all have some good deals, depending on the ski. In general, some brands year after year seem to be overproduced or sold high at first, so often way cheaper if last season. (Line, Dynastar, K2, for instance) Others just stay up there (Volkl, Stockli, Nordica, for instance).

I am looking for a powder ski. I demoed a pair yesterday and fell in love with them immediately. I have never had so much fun or done so well skiing powder before. The waist was 88mm and I was still pleased with the performance on groomed terrain. I am thinking mid 90s for the waist but don't have any preference when it comes to brand.

So what ski did you like? That would be the first thing to look for. Finding a ski that you enjoy is the first step, now shop around for it.

K2 Apache 171
K2 Apache is a line of skis that has quite a few awesome skis in the line. If you're thinking of the Apache Recon, you won't find one out there. Sold out in most locations in most sizes. Hope that isn't the one you're looking for. If so, you're likely to be disappointed.

Can you recall which of the K2 Apache's you liked?
Crossfire, Cheif, Recon, Stryker, Raider, X.

I just bought a new pair of two year old mojo 90s from http://www.levelninesports.com/ They have a lot of left over skis and had the best prices I could find, there shipping was fast too. Google product search works well too for finding good deals.

I can't remember the name but I know that it was not the fattest ski they had, it was the next one down from that.

IIRC the Outlaw was in the mid/high 80's in the waist and the Recon was 78 in the waist. I'm guessing you skied and fell in love with the Recon.
And rightfully so. Its a very good ski.
