Skiing Europe: I found a great one stop shopping website....

Hi All-

I would like to pass along a great resource on the web as it relates to planning a trip to ski in Europe. I live in Southern California and have never skied there before. Therefore, I have been researching a few trips to ski Europe this season when I came across this site.

By the way, I put out a couple of threads in the recent past on the subject and have received tons of feedback and suggestions from many of you in the Epic Ski Forum, so thanks for that!!!

The website address is.... www.bergfex.com.

It's probably the most encompassing site on the subject of skiing Europe I have seen. It's complete with very detailed information on every kind of snow report you want, weather maps, forcasts, resort infomation, accomodations, ratings, etc.

Perhaps some of you may already know of this website, as there are many online resources on the subject. However, if you are not familiar with it, you may want to investigate this one if you need a good resource for skiing in Europe.

Thx-
Dan

Well that sounds good. Not like there's any good skiing there.

Just kidding.

I think they are great just for Austria.

Word !
Skiing in France sucks like you have no idea. Flat moutains, tiny resorts, bad food.
Really, do yourselves a favor, guys, and ski in Italy ! All of you, Italy, the place to be.

Hey guys. Don't do this.

I can't believe both countries as bad place for ski, eat, drink and everything else.

BTW, try a ski trip here :. Just water ski, for sure

Cheers,
Eduardo

They look quite complete about locations in Italy but the accomodation offer is poor. In Selva di Val Gardena they offer only 2 hotels whiel there are many many more...

It's a good site for getting an overview of resorts in Austria, Switzerland and Austria. Nothing more, nothing less. I've used it a lot in the past to figure out what resports are close to where I'm heading.

To book accomodation, you're better off going to the resorts' websites.

The site is Austrian and looks like it was set up (at least initially) to cater to the German speaking world (look in the forums, it's all German with a sprinkling of Dutch). That explains why there is nothing on France.
