YIKES! Heading to Tremblant this weekend, where the temps will be -30!!! I have this one piece that I never wear, since its so, so retro! Since its not that heavy, I'm considering wearing my ski parka over the one piece. I'll look like a dork, but at least I'll be a warm dork! Be a problem in the ladies room, though!
I was at Tremblant last MLK weekend and it was the coldest weekend of the year during that nasty cold spell. My wife started this thread so I am alittle biased.
Like Rebecca said, buy a ski mask. I would not ski for an extended period of time going to the windy summit without being covered head to toe.
It was alittle colder than what they are forecasting.
I was wearing multiple layers with a gator pulled up to my goggles and helmet. My face had a slight gap that I didn't feel exposed.
Later that afternoon during lunch I had red marks up my cheeks that stayed there for about 4 days after.
Be extremely careful on the backside as it is colder than the frontside. The frontside is very crowded, has a plateu in the middle of the mountain which is annoying, and the liftlines at the base are the worst I have ever been in. The backside has way better terrain and barely a wait on the lift.
I actually have friends that went last year and are going back this winter but of course they never made it to the summit (which isn't that high). My wife and I will opt to not drive the 7 hours to freeze our ass off.
If you want any specifics or have any questions shoot me a PM.
If you have never been there then you will be happy to experience it and say you went to the number one ski resort in the East rated by readers of a magazine.
Then you will come home and ski at the real best ski resorts of the East.
Have a great time and stay warm.
