Possible to make a 29.0 into a 30.5?

Thread Starter
Okay so I now use a 30.5 boot and I feel it is a pretty good fit. However when I use the mondo point chart my foot comes up to a hair within 29.0. However when I try on a 28.5 or a 29.5 they are very, very tight. The 28.5 makes my toe feel like their in a vise and the 29.5 still feels uncomfortable. Is it possible to punch out the boot to adequately fit my foot or do I need to go up to a 30.0

Thanks

if your foot measures about 29.0 then the 29.0/29.5 should fit in most models, in many it will be too big, sounds like it is the liner which is pressing on the toe, have you had a boot shell checked to see how much space there is in the shell, it may also be just the ahape of your foot v the shape of the shell at the front, the toe box of the boot can be expanded a bit but not massive amounts as this can interfere with the binding interface...

get yourself into a good bootfitter and see how you go
