I just had some Salomon Z10 Ti bindings mounted on a new pair of X-Screams. The one thing I noticed was that these bindings do not have a riser with them. As you may or may not know, Salomon X-Screams are not powder skis, and I believe the waist is 68 which is considered on the narrow side. One questions is - can you purchase risers separate from the bindings to put under these? The other thing I noticed is that the brakes stick out quite a bit on the sides of these skis. A few times skiing on them last weekend, I felt like I "caught an edge" when in fact I think I almost hooked the ski brakes together, causing me to lose my balance. I looked back at the description on the bindings and it says "Removable integrated gliding brake." Why would they make a binding with a removable brake? I'm tempted to remove the brakes, but then what? Anyone else notice these things with the Z10 Ti's?
