...sorry for not taking pictures of the last couple powder days, but hey a man's got to skis.

Snowbird is skiing very well on a some what thin base. 100 percent of the lifts will be open by next weekend. Gad 2 and the Cirque and are holding some great mid winter snow and anything covered is not bad, well except the groomer. Some of those due to man made are extremely icey.

My weapon of a choice today

The View of the valley never gets old from Hidden Peak

Also some crud busting went on today

Jake's ANTS proved to be a stable platform

Dan was kill it on the gotama as well

IT was an awesome day. I am somewhat stoked on being able to keep up with you guys!

Those are some sweet shots. That's some beautiful crud busting there!

Snowbird is crap unless they get more snow. Very constricted.

It's got to be the worse year for Utah since 2002-03.

No snow.

No bases.

= weak skiing.

: I like it how some dude 1000 miles away is supposed to know more about conditions than people who were there skiing today. The bird didn't suck today.

Snowbird had by far the worst conditions of the 6 resorts that I skied last week. I have never seen ice in Utah before Snowbird.

Nice. I sense the speed [and can hear the crud rake] with the takes of Dan and Jake on edge.

In your ‘weapons’ shot, are we looking down from Little Cloud?

I have never skied snowbird but am hopeing to on the 11th of january. Anyway, after looking at the alta snowfall history, it seemse that this year is very close to last year in terms of snow. If you look back last year there was the snow total was only 5 more inches than what it is now. I am surprised none have made a comparison to last year. Also, it looks like alta/bird are at 70-75% of normal snowfall right now or about 45 inches.

Well the part that I was talking about was Lunch Run but I was unimpressed with the coverage elsewhere. Without a doubt Snowbird had the worst conditions during my trip last week.

Sorry BWPA, I was with the gf who was just getting back into skiing. I knew she would not be up for any off trail stuff and I was right. I got to make a few runs myself each day and Alta's coverage impressed me the most. I went down High Rustler and besides the traverse to it, I was really impressed with the coverage.

Next time I'm out there I will definitely pm you and make some turns. This was also my 6th time to Snowbird, so I have seen most of the mountain (of course I don't know it well) and didn't have the bug to venture out on my own like I did with the other places.
