Anyone know what is keeping Breckenridge from opening Peaks 10 and 7? Do they need more snow that 8 & 9 or are they just waiting to open them for the holidays?
Breck generally opens lifts based on a schedule and staffing which is based on destination skier demand. They have enough snow to open Peak 10 probably less the south side. A lot of peak 7 off the summit came down during control but they could easily open all the Peak 7 Independence Chair terrain if it's not already open. I think they'll be 100% open for Christmas.
The Independence Chair (P7) was open on Sunday, as was the Falcon on P10. I haven't been on the southside so I don't know if it is open, and the Imperial is not yet open. Both should be good after another dump.

Southside was open yesterday. I skied it quite a bit but it's very rocky and needs a few layers of snow before I'll return. The north side of Peak 10 was very good yesterday but the troughs are probably down to rocks today.
