Just wanted to thank everyone participating on the thread, I skied my new MOnsters 82 with FF+14 two days last week and I loved it very much. On saturday the snow was very hard and icy, temp around 30, no soft patches to find, just a grinder. I knew it was not a perfect day to get on my new skis, but couldn't resist the urge to try them on hard stuff also. Gotta say I did have a hard time controlling the skis from the start given the fact I never skied anything wider then 79 underfoot, but once I got used to a little slower edge to edge feeling it got better. They were not very good that day in short turns but when I let them carve longer GS turns, boy they were smoking! Amazing carvers surprisingly. Then the next day temp got up to lower 50's. I got on the mountain around noon and the snow was very beat up already. Basically crud everywhere, with some deep stashes too. On that day I knew I bought the right skis for the task. Simply unshakable. Excellent in anything and everything I asked them to do. I could really easily link short turns in that heavy slushy snow without loosing any control. They would run through everything and whenever I could find something harder I could just let them carve to submission. I was a bit surprised by the energy feedback I was getting from them. They are truly strong skis and I feel like they can do even better if I get stronger. But I take the challenge. Great skis, I'm very excited to have them, mainly for the days like this one. Cheers!
