I'm 21 yr old so i basically got really good at skiing on curved skis. i remember the first time i stopped using my poles and felt what it was like to carve and never envied snowboarders again. i was about 15 at the time. then a few years ago my dad got too old ski his skis, old p9s i think they're 203cm they're bright yellow with the black sharktooth graphic. i bought some good boots and put good new bindings on the skis. the guys at the ski shop looked like they were about to cry from nostalgia when i brought them in to be cleaned up, waxed, etc... they went on about how they were the last of hand made and wood or something or another and my dad said that they were bloody fast and great on ice. so now i've been skiing them and i love them. old guys talk to me on the lift and i feel like an almost out of control bullet on the long downhills. they are a bit of a challenge and a work out but that's a good thing to me because i'm young and strong. only thing is that if i'm having so much fun on these i can't help wonder what i'm missing. on the other hand i can't really justify paying for skis rental or otherwise when these are so cool. theres definitely a cool retro, vintage chic factor too though i think it's pretty much lost on the girls.
