Who's Got it the Worst?

I bet there's only 10% on the forum that have skied this season. The rest NOT. Now I'll admit I've got some major withdrawls going on but I think ol Sugar Snack has won the medal. Any takers.

the worst has to be my friend Jaime. She was out the last 1 & 1/2 seasons from a car wreck & has been salivating about Alta since her doc gave her the ski go ahead last month.
she is about ready to burst.

Oh man, am I that pathetic?

Really I do this every year - I get so anxious about the Washington ski scene. Will we have a good year? Will it suck? Am I going to have to do all my skiing out of state and if so how much time off can I reasonably get away with?

Mind racing......

I think my roommates would say I have it the worst, I'm constantly stretching, and whenever they look, I'm at some ski site or another. Tonight I'm going to rent some ski videos at blockbuster

Your roomates think your crazy and they just shake their heads. I guess you got to be one to understand. My wife says I get a Snowbrain about this time of year.

LM: No fair! You've been living the life of O'Reilly - prancing on beaches all over the globe. We are trapped in our ordinary homes dreaming of white stuff.

No sympathy unless of course you are willing to trade places with me.

Yummm!! Actually, I think Matt's friend Jamie has it worst. A friend of mine had a compound fracture of his femur (sp) a couple of years ago [freak accident gettng off the chair on a snowboard], was out the entire year, I felt so badly for him.

I'm not impatient to get started in the least bit. But, I have been floating around in the swimming pool since August, totally dressed for Snow. Helmet, Boots, Poles, Skies, Parka, etc. You never know when that first snow is going to hit, and you have to be ready. You also have to show Ullr that you are a true believer.

Everyone, continue to pray for the white stuff.

Sugar Snack, your pic look like it could be at ALTA. :

Well, my last skiing day this year was Apr 3rd.
Two months later, June 3rd, I was lying in the Sun, on a beach, dreaming of skiing
Me too, I stretch every time I can, at work,
muttering and mumbling, snow, when? when?
This morning as I woke up, walked out of my flat to have a better look at the mountain and...
It is there.

I learned some awesome agility drills today at the conference! The whole time I'm doing them, I'm saying, Wow this can help me with gates, this can help me ski through a white out! People asked "How can you thinking about skiing when you are in Miami?" I say,"Easy!"

Sugar Snack, you have a point, since one trip is payed for by my company, and the other I can write off as Professional Development.

I got it bad just thursday, i got my new skis!! (the race ones in my profile). So now, i am counting the minutes till i ski again. Its horrible, i sit in my room here just looking at my skis thinking of how great they must ski... I'm hoping to get some turns in either next weekend or the weekend after, but the weather around here is not looking like its going to cooperate. The ski areas ahve had dustings in the last 2 weeks, but the temp is back to 50 during the day!! I cant endure the waiting much longer... I need to ski.
ps. pray for snow for Western NY
