Even my rock skis are begging me not to go. A foot on top of hardly any.

There are a couple more storms comin down the pike - maybe in a week or two.

Those skis need to be bitch slapped and you need to remind them when and where they will ski.. and and that they will like it.

Paul Jones - I don't know how MRG's snowfall has been compared to Stowe's, but I skied Starr, Upper Nash (and Upper Upper), Goat and Lookout today all onnatural snow on new skis. They pretty much came out unscathed and I wasn't being very careful. I agree with Phil. Bitch slap those skis and get up there.

So ya had a pretty good day. And it's still snowing.

I suppose the locals at MRG don't mind if we don't come.

Plans finalized.

I will be heading up from Long Island (West) 3 AM Thursday through Westchester and taking the 91 & 89 route. If anyone is interested in a lift feel free to PM.

Probably only a day trip, but my car tends to break down a lot when it hits the Mad River Valley.

Might be mad, but it's a yearly ritual kind of thing. Looks like no rock skis either this year, by-the-way!

I skinned up to the top of the single on Monday, in the midst of the storm, on my brand-new AT skis. Enjoyed totally fresh tracks in boot-deep powder on the Chute. We then skinned up the double and had an amazing run down Panther. I never came close to hitting anything damaging. I expect that Thursday will be excellent as well, considering that they received a lot more snow later on Monday. Unfortunately I can't get back there until Saturday. Enjoy the skiing!
