Boot cuff question

I own Fischer RC4 race boots and am very happy with them. I have very skinny calves, particularly in the front. Even with the top buckle fairly tight there tends to be a gap between my anterior tibial area and the boot cuff. How critical is it that I fill this gap - do I just tighten the boot even further which tends to stiffen it up or should I add some foam?

try putting the power strap under the plastic shell. this will tighten the tounge to the leg and also fill up the plastic.

If the strap idea doesn't do it - is there an advantage of the eliminator over just attached some EVA or neoprene foam to the tongue area?
