05/06 Dynastar Contact Limited Edition - Anyone Familiar?

A buddy of mine has these skis but doesn't really know anything about them, I believe they were the predecessor to the current contact series and were only sold in Canada and the UK. A local ski shop told me they are positioned somewhere between the current (07) Contact 10 and 11 series.

My buddy really likes them and I've been temped to grab a pair at the right price, has anyone skied these who can give their impression or shed some light on this ski?

I saw a listing on ebay for them, the cut is actually 114-71-102...

I have not skied them, I've only skied the 06-07 model with the wider sidecut.

The 05-06 is said to be a good ski in the shorter lengths. The price should be lower, $399 for new IMO.

I have a pair I bought last year. They work well on the groomers and intermidiate amount of powder. Not intended for deep snow thoug. Very light ski in weight. I have the 172's, 114/71/102 dimensions. unfortunately I should have gone longer. I'd be willing to part with them for $350 plus hipping. used about 10 times

Nice ski, pretty versatile, definitely more groomer oriented but OK in 6" of fresh. They have the Dynastar "feel".
They were the first Dynastar ski to have sported the fluid binding and don't hook up as fast as the current Contact LTD [last years contact 11] due to less sidecut.
I don't however, consider them a light ski. Most system skis are not and these are no exceptions.
