They had a few more open today, not that much though. Woodward, Canyon, Slalom and the hills served by the rope tow.... the one with all the rails and the one next to it.... sorry don't know trail names. Snow was about what I expected, maybe a bit better. Pretty darn firm but not ice.
It was real cool being back on skis again. Tried two new pair. I quite liked the Rossi Scratch BC, it felt like it was happy to do my bidding. Tracked really well, tighter turn shape was a lean away. The k2 PE railed really well too but seemed a bit sluggish. Maybe it needs more speed, more room to stretch out.
Man, I was dressed for about five degrees in Colorado but I was FREEEZING at 25 degrees. It was really windy and they were blowing max snow.
I was looking to have fun and squelch my jones. I had fun but feel I only transferred my jones...now I can't wait to get to the 2000 ft bump runs!
