Nordica Hot Rod Liner Question

Thread Starter
I have a pair of Nordica Hot Rod Boots from the Fall of 2005. I have a problem with the liner. It feels like a knife on the top of my foot where the foot and leg meet. The problem area on the liners are the pieces of plastic on the tongue where it is designed to flex. I skied a day with a Lange liner and while the fit was not perfect, the problem spot went away.

I also did some work on the liner to try to accomodate that spot without success. Did Nordica change the liners on the Supercharger Blower line? I would like to keep the shell and replace the liner.

why not just replace the liner with an intuition (warmer) or a zip fit (more performance)

#1 Probably....Liners are shot.
#2 Possibly.....Boots are a size too big.

If #1.........buy intuitions.
If #2.........buy new boots.

sounds like there could be just too much space in the area where the problem is, if so then the liner will collapse onto the foot, zip fit may just take up the required volume if the boot is the correct size overall

Which Intuition

Thanks for the replies.

The fit of the boot is good. I wear a size 10 shoe, measure a 26.5 boot size, and the boots is a US 8/UK 7. My foot has a slightly wide forefoot, slightly high instep, and narrow heel.

Which Intuition should I go with? The Alpine Power Wrap or the new Plug liner?

Thanks again.

That could go either way, it depends upon how much volume your foot has. I'm getting a plug liner for my HR's but I'm very closely fitted and there's not quite enough room for the APR.
