The above is not the entire chart. As you can see, it can shoot at 1.3-1.5 frames per second. Personally, I'd go for the 12 Meg-a-pixel, but then I always like the latest and greatest in my tech toys. Something to consider is the zoom range tends towards the close-up end of things rather than the wide-angle end of things (35-133 mm focal range rather than the 28-105 mm of its cousin). Since most people don't own the printer to take true advantage of 12 megapixels, you might want to concentrate on the focal range to help with your decision. If you mostly zoom in, then go with the 950, mostly go for those wide vistas, go with the 870.
While on the site, I also started really needing
this Powershot TX1. Mine takes movies, but this thing has an optical zoom of 10x and takes HD movies!!!! I think I need this thing! The one issue is, it seems to be a bit heavier, altho not really bigger.
