Leki Trigger Poles

Hey guys,

Anyone have a good source for a reasonable price on a pair of Leki Trigger poles? I'm not as picky about the "model" as much I am about the price. The cheaper the better!

I would even consider used or "last years" or more.

You guys have been a great source in the past. Let's hope I can find a decent pair before the season starts.

Thanks in advance!

How about these?

Thanks. That was a quick reply and a good source. I saw those already. Just sent a message to REI inquiring about the Leki CX poles they have listed. For some reason, they're listed with a picture that gives the impression they are adjustable. I don't think the CX was ever adjustable.

Although, that would be a nice set up. Leki trigger grips on an adjustable pole. I've checked ebay and there are some good deals, I just can't get any information regarding sizes.

My current poles are 51" from tip to the top of the handle. I've heard that Leki poles can't be cut down to size. They make a 50" and a 52". I'm sure an inch won't make that big of a difference in the grand scheme of things. But I don't want to get stuck with the wrong size...

FWIW..The Goode carbon pole has a 3 inch height adjustment...I just purcahsed a pair and you can change the height on the grip 3 inches.

I just switched to Leki this season after 15 or so years with Goodes. I got this years Trigger2's. I have the poles but am waiting for the gloves. The T2's are a nice pole and a bit beefier than the Goodes.

Picked up some of these from REI a couple of months ago for $15.
Looks like it was a deal, haven't tried them yet.

Leki Trigger poles can definately be cut, I have had many pair and have cut several of them. Getting the grips off can be challenging, try soaking them in very hot water and then pulling them off with a good pair of gloves on to avoid burning your hands.

The Leki poles that can't be cut are the carbon/aluminum ones that have the corrective angle bend at the top, can't cut there because you lose the bend, can't trim the carbon shaft effectively because they at least on the Ventrix poles bevel the carbon section to fit the basket/tip piece.
At the tip they are solid, up about 3/4 inches they are hollow and can't be re-beveled, don't ask me how I know...

I saw your request for them, these are actually just 46-47". You were looking for a longer length, right? My Goodes are in VT, I won't be able to check them until Mid December.

I have a set of Goode SuperMax composites that I'd let go if you need them. They are 51" from tip of handle to the floor. Let me know...

By the way, when will I be able to post in the Gear Swap section? Is there a minimum post requirement?

Yeah - that and you can't unless you become a supporter. At least not if you're trying to sell gear.

Artechski sells them at a good price.
