Game 6? Celtics FTW, but I'd like to see a game 7.

Refs? yeah, stow the whistles & let them play. Can't say the game was called unfairly if nothing gets called...

Pierce/Kobe: Pierce has outplayed Kobe last two games, aside from the Kobe steals at 3:11 and :37 of the 4th quarter in game 5.

Of course the Celtics will win tonight! 17th banner coming up on the 17th ... I think.

They're the better team on their home court so they will win easily ... I'm pretty sure.

I even plan to stay up late to watch this one and rescheduled my morning workout to tomorrow night (so they better!

Big time congratulations to all you Celtics fans. Enjoy this to the fullest.

The worst part of my season as a fan is that when the games meant the most, my team just didn't show up. The Celts showed us all how it's supposed to be done. Good on y'all

+100, I couldn't have said it better myself. I'm so glad that Doc, KG and all those folks that didn't have a ring finally got their well deserved championship. Luke, and most of the other Lakers, will get another shot at it. As for Kobe', I could care less. My interest in following the Lakers went WAY down when they got rid if Shaq and kept Kobe. Congrats to Boston

No words to describe it - ended up at a local Irish pub I frequent and watched there. Every basket in the second half was a celebration ... what a night! A few Guinness were imbibed .

They finally had the type of game I think everyone was waiting for - 48 minutes of offensive fun and defensive dismemberment of the opponent.

BOOMSHAKKALAKKA! If that wasn't an exclamation point to the season, I don't know what could be. Felt awesome! Now I'm trying to convince the bossman to declare tomorrow a shop holiday so I can go to the parade!

Bump!  Any believers in the Celts without KG?   The seem to be getting it done without him when Allen rains threes.

Well this year the old skool Lakers Celtics finals should be pretty good.

Go Lakers!

Am I the only one that remotely cares about the NBA Championshios?  I will admit that I don't care much about watching anything buut the last 3 minutes of any of the games until someone has three wins playing for the title.  It seems that the only thing that really matters in the first 3/4s of a basketball game is who's getting in foul trouble.  The real  battle starts when all the foul shots and timeouts start getting used in the last two minutes or so.

This is going to be a great series, and the first quarter will be very significant.

Regular season basketball is like pre-season, but the playoffs are a different story.

Should be a ggod matchup indeed, everyone's relatively healthy.  I've gotta admit I don't "hate" the Celtics the way I used to.  McHale, Bird, Ainge, Johnson, and Parrish were a lot easier to hate then these guys (KG, Allen, etc) are.  Here's to a good series and some exciting basketball

KG and Allen are great dudes, but Paul Pierce just makes me hate the Celtics horribly. Him, Perkins, and Glen Davis are the reasons for me wanting L.A. to pull out the victory.

Just watched a quarter and the Lakers have pulled out some crazy stuff. Instead of Kobe guarding Allen, they have Fisher guarding Allen and Kobe guarding Rondo. This will make for an interesting series indeed. Two best coaches in the game as well.

I'd forgotten that Boston picked up Rasheed Wallace. Wife's a tarheel so that is a reason to like him, but he really took a dump on the Pistons in his last days in Detriot.  I fell asleep midway through the 3rd last night thinking the Lakers were in some deep foul trouble.  I was glad to see that they held onand actually pulled away.

OK, now that was just  "foul".  Or was it?

REfs did a better job last night.  Not sure what happened to the Celtics shooting touch. They just couldn't put the ball in the hoop at home

So, it all comes down to this: which do you like better - Minneapolis to win 3 of 4 at home or Boston to take 2 of 4 on the road?  Oops, I mean LA

Jack's house tomorrow for all the marbles.  Like the Lakers more, but it's all good if Boston can beat them at home they deserve the title beat Cleveland and all.  Great series!

Perkins is out, but Bynum is limited.  I give the edge to the Celtics, but it could go either way easily.  Even money.

Allen's hot edge goes to Boston.  Kobe passed the ball edge goes to LA haha

I hope I can stay awake for the end of this game.  I'm pretty spent form a tough couple long work days.  We shall see.

Game on!

Bumber, Lakers won.  I'm a Celtics fan and the game was exciting: two teams showing they wanted it bad.    Gotta give credit to Ron Artest cause he played great.

Yeah, feel about the same way - didn't watch much of the game (not a fan of the NBA), but have long had a soft spot for the Celtics and would have liked to see KG get another title.

Artest's brother in law was on TMZ Wednesday saying that the whole thing was rigged for the Lakers to win in 7.  The way it went b ack and forth last night with the Celtics finally folding in the last 60 seconds makes me kind of believe him.

Could it be that Pro basketball = Pro Wrestling?

The Lakers beat the Celtics at their own game.  Swarming, suffocating defense.  It was a great game, and a great run for the Celtics to get so close.
