I was wondering why you suggest the 165s: do they float better or do you just like a longer ski or is it something specific to the ELs? I was told the 158s (on average) would work for women our size. BTW, thanks for the heads-up on the Blizzards, I'll check them out, too.

I'll be honest....I like a ski a bit longer than most. As Sierra Jim tends to be more logical, you may want to follow his advice. I'll deal with his comments about me later.

I'm afraid that women are being sold too short on this type of ski, but then it may just be that I never fully got used to the drop in length after skiing 185 straight skis years ago.
What would the 158 do for a girl like me that I wouldn't get out of a 165?
