Yeah, I'm sorry, but Bretton Woods, NH is number ten on that list? What is that? Sic Tony C on them...

Ick

That seems like a stunningly poor list. It's not even close to a list of first 10 resorts open. There also seem to be some glaring omissions and other ones seem to have made the list for no reason. It really seems like at least A Basin or Loveland should have made the list. Winter Park makes list? C'mon.. WP early season sucks. 'Lake Tahoe resorts'?? How vague is that. Why don't they just have a top 10 list that says "Colorado, Utah, BC, and Targhee"? Personally, I'd include Copper on there. It's generally the first 'big' resort open.

The guy has one post. Sound familiar?

There are a few resorts on there that actually open after a couple in North Carolina....Crappy list.

bigskier's list looks like a troll and is worthless. cometjo's list, on the other hand, looks damn good. The three places I immediately thought about when I first saw this threads title are at the top of the list.

So let's start over here. What would an actual list look like?
Assuming we leave out glaciers (eg, no Timberline, etc.) and Canada (I'll bet Sun Peaks, for example, is good early), I'd figure northern resorts like Big Sky or JH? The Wasatch bunch, the frontline places in Colorado, Copper, Keystone, Breck, et al? Right, Loveland gets a special mention. What about Mammoth?

Also, if you're gonna try to sneak in a fake list like that, leave out the "!", as in "I just found this great list!" (reminds me of spam, eg, "Add inches to your pecker!"). Dead giveaway mate. That, and the fact that it was your first-ever post. And that the list sucked. Otherwise, had me going.

Even the resorts on Tony's list aren't looking so good right now. That's why its imperative to be flexible. I am going somewhere on 12/6 and I guarantee it will be good. But I may just have to sit on a plane for 10 hours to do it.

Right now, looks like Austria is your pick, my friend. Direct flight Chicago to Zurich, then Bob's your uncle.

Yep, that's pretty much the plan right now. Zurich looks better, but Munich is quite a bit cheaper.

Uncle Bob?
