This is my first venture into specifically wide snowboard boots. I'll report back once the riding season starts for me. (I also bought Flow bindings late last season and only rode in them a couple days. I'm trying to solve (prevent for this season) some foot pain problems I had last year.)
I think foot pain is just part of the game. When I get tired and/or dehydrated it becomes more of a problem. I think my Flow bindings did help with the problem though. The biggest help was getting custom footbeds done. I go much longer before the dreaded foot pain becomes a problem now.
I have a wider foot with average arch. I have tried a few pairs and still hunting...
Burton: like medieval torture device. I've tried two models and the older one from ten years ago are more comfortable. Stupid quick release laces on the currents are horrible.
DC: No better but I can last slightly longer without having to take anti-inflammatories just to keep going. BUT, stupid wider boot will not fit in all bindings.
I think I'll try Vans next. I had a random pair of boots with some italian name many years ago and to this day, still think they were the most comfortable.
