Caution, you should not eat the onion afterward. It contains too many electrons.

it should work with any fruit or any type of electolyte. it's like one of those potato clocks, there are 2 different kinds of metals in the usb connector so there is an electrical potential between them when they are immersed in and electrolyte solution. same way duracells work.

As Epl says, this reminds me of when we played with potatoes in high school science. Just puts a modern twist on it.

'course it's also possible that the guy in the video is just lying. ircc, those potato clocks don't produce a whole lot of voltage.

In my situation, "..ear" was spoken much more than in anatomy class. Besides..we didn't have an ally..we had woods. Wintertime, we had Camelback. Either way I had enough credits to graduate and we fried up the potatoes.
