Current Stockli DP Pro vs. original SS Pro Model

Just looking for a little input. I unfourtunately broke my Stockli Scott Schmidt Pro's (the original 92 waist version, not the 88 version). Fortunately Stockli has a good replacement program and for a fair price I can replace with the same model or for $75 more any model in their line. I was using the SS for my every day ski. I am thinking about getting the DP Pro and I was wondering if anyone has skied both skis. I have skied the newer SS Pro (88mm waist) and thought it was just OK. I ski mostly steeps and off piste. I'm in Nordica Dobie 150's and my other skis are Dynastar Legend Pro, Volkl 724 Pro. Thanks

You must be a Pro...(Just kiddin')
I can't really help you, but AKAIK, the first Stockli SS were actualy rebadged DPs. The stockli guys thought the american market would rather buy a SS than a DP.
Now, those are separate models.
So the SS you loved was actualy a DP. Why not try the new one ? That's just a guess, but you could like it.

I know, they signed him late in the year and changed the graphics. I was skiing way too fast in poor light Heli-skiing in BC and ran into a ditch - could have been much worse.

Go with the new DP. They are great skis.

That's the way I was leaning.

The new DP are softer in the shovel than the ski you have. If these are your powder skis and you don't plan on getting some proper fats anytime soon then for sure go for the DPs. SS are stiffer and float will suffer.
