My snowblower broke down so we should get some good dumps this winter in the East. Unless I buy a new one.

Then dont buy a new one!!!!

We got down to 29* on Long Island this past weekend, I hope that is indication of climate to come in the East, though today is rather mild.

That's a good start. Now go and snap all of your shovels in half, throw out all of your left gloves, put the air conditioners back in your windows, and for Ullr's sake don't even think about taking your ski gear out. That might help.

Uh Oh, I think I'm screwed. My wife works for one of the largest manufacturers of snow shovels in the world!

On a hopeful note...they subscribe to some long term forecast service, I'm not sure what it must be top secret. Here is an excerpt from the email she sent me last week...

"Snow will become increasingly heavy in late November and especially December" and "84% of the days between now and middle January trend colder to much colder than last year"

Sorry guys, I put a plow on the truck this month. That pretty much guarantees snow less winter.

I'll take credit if it's good then too. Microbrews and lift tickets will do.

If you need to come after me you can do it in Utah...woohoo!

Eastern skiers: Time to put down those crack pipes. Or maybe time to start, depending on how well you handle reality. I'll flying to Calgary, so my happiness is ensured.

La Nina has been known to be on its way for months. Whip out your plastic money and climb aboard the magic bus for the PNW. It's going to be deeeep!
