Attaching full guards to leki poles

Just got in a new pair of Leki Slalom TTB poles and bout a pair of full Leki guards with them. Can't for the life of me figure out where to attack the upper part of the guard to the poll. I don't want to screw into anything that isn't pre-drilled and risk ruining the release mechanism. Any directions / guides? Thanks.

If you are using the Leki's with the trigger system, you can't.
Two choices, change the grip loose the trigger and mount the guard, or swap to a half guard.

That sucks. Did you get the trigger version for the SL guard? Also, could you post pics, because I want to see what they look like before I order mine. My Viper Venom SL's have holes, so I'm not sure if the trigger gate guard will work or the non trigger guard will work.

I bought the trigger version of the guards, same one as pictured here:

http://www.shopatron.com/product/pro...-644-112/392.0

They show the trigger pole mounted with the guard, so I assumed that they would have holes / some way to attach. How secure would the full guards be just securing at the base vs using a half guard?

I bought the SL and the GS versions of the poles, I'll post pictures asap.

The gaurds come in two flavors ones made for trigger poles and universal models (doesnt matter if they are half or full gaurds). The ones made for the trigger poles come with a metal yellow trigger top that replaces the plastic one the poles come with. Also included will be a machine screw that threads into the metal top. The shop you got them from should correct this to for you.

I have both, however, I don't know how to replace the plastic yellow cover with the metal one. I believe it may have come with instructions but I have since lost them.

To swap out the top piece you push out the little pin that works as the hinge from the button.

This will allow the top button to be removed.
