Well, Liam, if I had video to post for you, I would. I really have no video of my skiing, because I primarily skied solo last year. It's tough to find someone willing to ski bumps with you every day at all, let alone take video!
But I plan to make it to several outings with members of my forum this season, and we will get as much demonstrative (and also just plain fun) footage as we can. I'll post it as I complete it.
[rant]But let me ask you this: why is it that you have to post some spectacular video of yourself to gain any credibility on this forum? I personally find it offensive. I'm certainly not opposed to sharing video of my skiing with you all, but it bothers me when that's the only way you'll listen to someone.
Think about this: how often do coaches in any sport perform even remotely as well as the pros they coach? Rarely. That doesn't mean they're not qualified to coach, teach, write, speak, etc. For example, just because Mike McCarthy can't throw like Brett Favre, does that mean he can't coach him or he can't write about being a good quarterback? Just because Jimmy Connors can't serve like Andy Roddick... does that mean he can't help him with it, or even (gasp) post on a forum about it? Just because Carney Lansford can't hit home runs like Barry Bonds, does that mean he's not qualified to speak to the subject? Now, I realize that I'm talking about famous individuals who have gained much credibility, but I think the concept remains the same.[/rant]
Sorry to derail the topic. Didn't mean to hijack. That one just bugs me a little!
