As Jamesdeluxe said: Tenney may be open, K'ton open then is a really long shot. Tenney is a short drive off of I-93 in Plymouth, nice intermediate trails with some variety, cozy lodge and has a very s-l-o-w double.
Killington's not that much of a longshot, actually. I'd say it's better than 50/50 they'll be open in mid-October. I've skied there several times in the first week of October, but if Tenney does what it says it's going to do that's the surest thing.
As the first post says, I will be in NH that weekend. If there is any place open, I will bring the boards and get a 1/2 day in on that Sunday. West in NOT an option. Where I ski isn't as important as that I get to ski.

Tenney still plans to open on October 1, but just some small hill above the lodge. Sounds really lame, but if you're going to be in NH anyway, seems worth tossing the ski gear in the car.
