Should this be moved to the competition forum or is there some reason you'd prefer it be here for now?

Wachusett Night League
http://wawa.wachusett.com/mountain%5...ight%5Fleague/

Speaking of which, I am currently recruiting fast female racers for our Tues night teams. Any grownup women out there with racing chops in MA and surrounding? The older the better (HCP edge) but we will happily consider younger racers.

3 teams right now so apres is a big loud group. Currently 2 "serious" teams, 1 fun team. Lots of Silver medal gals (all ages) on C team right now. Not a desperation plea! We are actually pretty flush with women but need some real racers. We may even have enough for an all female team.

Women are very important for league scoring. Our "best" two A Team racers are women. We need a female ringer to round out B team which should be a top 15 or better team.

Our guys are mostly professionals 20s-50s - some family men - some singles. Only a couple of weirdos.

Women are all professionals - one grad student.

All "social" drinkers! Good networking. Good racing. Good fun for a Tues night. No gapers please...unless you are super hot. Then we can talk. PM me with questions. Seriously fun league and team(s). We want YOU!

Better visibility . It requires a little input from the members to have value. It could be moved next week, OK?

Just in case anyone is further interested in the Bristol Adult League, they just added the brochure with rates, rules, etc to their web site. Here the link to a pdf of it:

They've added a couple of pre race training sessions which should be a help!

Manitoba Masters Series - oldest in Canada

The longest running masters race series in Canada is the Manitoba Masters Alpine Series. There used to be be some really hot racers there (slalom). I recall the national slalom champion from the Canadian team coming out for a race one time in the mid 80's, as part of the national masters program, and getting beaten in a slalom by four of the local Winnipeg racers. On the prairies, slalom is all about intensity and full-on sprinting to the finish.

Province: Manitoba
Places: Various ski areas around the province. Occasionally in the U.S.

Beer Leagues

In addition to the CISC league mentioned above the Connecticut Ski Council hosts a popular GS race at Mt. Southington on Monday nights. You need to belong to one of the CSC Clubs.

Info can be found here. Questions? contact racing@mtlski.com

A-Basin no longer hosts any alpine races, which is a down right shame.
