Hey Bears, is anyone going to this? I'm pretty sure I will be in attendance with my gf, on Saturday. You can get half price tickets ($4.50) by printing out this flyer: http://www.nationalskiexpo.com/GFX/_Philly2007.jpg

It should be much bigger then in the past, when it was held at the Plymouth Meeting mall. In essence it is a show within a show, as the Philly travel show is being held that day as well.

This is where the show was in years past..way past..late 80's/early 90's. I might be up for heading over either late Sat or Sunday.

Looking at the list of ski resorts that plan on being there, it looks pretty weak from a skiing perspective. It had become that way as a mall show too - but at least then, it was free.

I think the ski show part is only a sideline to a bigger event: http://www.phillytravelshow.com/

I agree, they seem to all be local resorts with a few from Vermont. However the new Warren Miller is still free and if you use the flyer I posted, admission is only $4.50. I think there is still an opportunity to get some free lift tickets by chatting some of the reps up.

I will definitely still be going.

Evansilver is coming over to my place to mount skis and mold boot.

Not very impressed. However the $4.50 admission was worth it because Elk gave out free lift tickets and I signed up for countless other discounted offers. There wasn't one single western resort ski resort there and most of the bigger eastern ski resorts were absent.

I don't know for Saturday, but they definitely didn't show Playground today. I'm pretty sure that it was STORM.

Looks like I didn't miss much, not that I expected to. We mounted skis, molded boots and looked at ex-Coalminers mismount. It is sad...I am not sure how many remember when that show was a great show back in the late 80's/90's.
